How often should you really get a fade?

A fade is a shape, not just a length. The moment the shortest guard starts growing out, the blend that made the cut look clean begins to soften.

For a bald or skin fade, the sweet spot is every 7 to 10 days. A low taper with more length up top can stretch to two or three weeks without losing its line.

If you can only come in monthly, ask for a slightly longer guard on the sides. It grows out more gracefully and still looks intentional in week three.
